Enjoy music under the stars at Levitt Pavilion in downtown Arlington during the 2013 Texas Power Fall Concert Series which takes place Thursdays thru Sundays, now through July 14th. Children’s concerts take place each Wednesday (except July 3rd) at 9:30am & 7:30pm. Light Up Arlington’s Concert & Fireworks on Wednesday, July 3rd features the Atlanta Rhythm Section!!! All the concerts are free & fun, so bring a blanket or lawn chairs (and snacks/coolers) to Levitt Pavilion! Concessions are also available.

Lawn seating for each concert is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Because the concerts are outdoors, don’t forget things like sunscreen and/or a hat and bug spray. In case of rain or any type of unpredictable weather, there’s an Information Line to call to check on the concert’s status. The number is (817) 543-4301. Bring your own snacks/picnic and beverages (alcohol allowed, but no glass containers), or you can buy from vendors. There are concessions for sale at the flag pole entrance to Founders Plaza on the corner of Abram and Pecan streets. Our concession vendor has snacks, soft drinks, water, snow cones, nachos and hot dogs for sale. J. Gilligan’s is also on site grilling burgers, veggie burgers, chicken and quesadillas.

*Sun, June 30; 8pm: BILLY JOE SHAVER (the original honky-tonk hero)
*WEDNESDAY, JULY 3RD: “LIGHT UP ARLINGTON” ANNUAL CONCERT & FIREWORKS featuring music from THE ATLANTA RHYTHM SECTION. Come to downtown Arlington to enjoy food, fun, fireworks. Free event. ‘Velvet Love Box’ in concert at 7:30pm. Atlanta Rhythm Section takes the stage at 8:45pm (this is the band with hits like ‘Spooky’, ‘Imaginary Lover’, and ‘So Into You’. The FIREWORKS START at 9:45pm. Atlanta Rhythm Section will resume their concert after the fireworks.

Looking ahead to the Fall Concert Series which begins in September, there’s a fundraiser concert on Saturday, September 14, 2013 featuring the legendary rock band FOREIGNER (whose discography includes classics like “Juke Box Hero”, “Cold As Ice”, “Double Vision”, “Waiting for a Girl Like You”). This fundraiser is what pays for the other 50 free concerts throughout the year. Tickets ($35 general admission in advance, $45 at the gate, VIP for $150) are now available. For this concert only, there are no chairs or food or drinks or coolers or pets allowed…chairs will be provided and concessions available. To anticipate some of your questions about the Levitt Pavilion’s SUMMER concerts…
Yes, there are bathrooms on-site (port-a-potties) as well as bathrooms inside City Hall which is across the street.
Pets are allowed, but must be on leashes. Please, no smoking (you, as well as the pets).
There is plenty of free parking all around the Levitt Pavilion – in the city employee lot, behind City Hall, behind the library, in the lots behind and beside the Arlington Municipal Building, in the Pinnacle Corp. lot, at Southwest Securities and First Baptist Church.

The Levitt Pavilion and Founders Plaza are easily accessible for physically challenged patrons. Ramps lead down to the lawn on the Abram Street side of the park. Wheelchairs can be parked all along the sidewalks, and an additional special seating area is wheelchair accessible. All of the parking lots surrounding the Levitt have handicapped parking.
